The NGB for Taekwondo in the USA has failed to provide the US TKD Community with fair and equal representation. They have proven themselves to be absolutely corrupt. Failure is the opportunity to begin again, more intellegently. That's why USNTA was born. It was formed in 1999 because we saw the necessity of an association that didn't only emphasized Taekwondo technique, but the philosophy as well.

The USNTA Master Licensing Program was initiated in 2002:

· Instructor Licensing Seminars to be conducted quarterly & held regionally

· Each Seminar will include an opportunity for all levels to participate (4th – 9th Dan)

The USNTA 2008 Marketing Plan. Joint marketing with KMAIA to save $$$. Monies from membership fees is scant & participation in training events is LOW. Because of these challenges, alternate revenue plans must be made and long-tern strategies must be designed. The following strategies may be useful to the USNTA:

· Co-op Marketing with KMAIA & affiliates, through ADSS, currently is designing long-term strategies to assist schools in revenue generation, exposure & business development. Strengthening schools will help strengthen USNTA.

· The USNTA needs to distinguish itself as official affiliate of the organizations in Korea and an elite organization compared to others. We must build our brand and our value. 1 way to do this is the encourage multi-art training in the schools. In order for schools to thrive instead of survive, they must offer a variety of programs & attract a variety of people. 2 national organizations have come forward to assist with this program. The NHA under the direction of Richard Hackworth and USYA under the direction of Joseph Connolly.

The goals for the USNTA marketing program are to:

· Develop a long-term revenue model which develops a branding ID program for USNTA

· Develop short-term member benefits program for members and clubs

- ADSS Marketing Partnership

· Develop a stronger merchandise program

- The USNTA is currently meeting with sponsors regarding this merchandise.

· Target one-to-three long term sponsors

To develop future instructors for growth, we must focus on how an entry-level student progresses to the Instructor level. 1 way is through KMAIA Programs. The I.T. Conferences, Annual Masters Retreat & Conference, JR Summer Camps which would include a segment on becoming a leader, all methods of entry for USNTA students. Their development continues with opportunities to participate in the following Instructor programs:

· KMAIA Leadership Course · Regional Training Conferences · Annual Conference
