USNTA OPEN HOUSE A HUGE SUCCESS
Saturday, July 15th from 11 AM to 4 PM the US National Taekwondo Association held it's first open house event. This was an event that was open to the public to introduce them to the many benefits of Taekwondo. There were special Taekwondo Demonstration performed by Masters Shane Miller and Chris Courington demonstrating the self defense skills of Taekwondo. Other Taekwondo demonstrations were performed by the "Ground Zero" Christian Taekwondo Demonstration Team. Master Shane Miller, the National Training Center Director, shared some of his personal philosphies about the benefits of Taekwondo and even talked about his personal reasons for beginning Taekwondo practice as a child. Master Miller said that he was sometime bullied in school and turned to traditional Taekwondo as a way to learn self defense and get some exercise. That that early childhood journey would lead him to become recognized as one of the world's leading Taekwondo practitioners and Director of the US National Taekwondo Association National Training Center. Recently, Master Miller become the youngest Master to be inducted into the Korean Martial Arts Instructors Association World Council. "Ground Zero" Christian Taekwondo Demonstration Team Begins Friendship Tour
Master Chris Courington announced on July 15th 2006 that the "Ground Zero" Christian Taekwondo Demonstration Team will begin their Friendship Tour this year and are currently accepting invitations to perform at public and private events. April 24, 2006. The US National Taekwondo Association opened it's brand new
National Training
Center (USNTA-NTC) in
Orlando, FL. The USNTA-NTC will be the home of the USNTA Instructor Certification Course, The USNTA National Team Training Center, and National Black Belt Testing Center. The USNTA-NTC Director is Master K. Shane Miller, Coach of the USNTA National Team. The USNTA National Team will be comprised of a national demonstration team and a national competition team. The USNTA-NTC Manager is Master Chris Courington. Master Miller and Master Courington will be conducting the first USNTA-NTC Training Camp. The camp will cover, Forms, Breaking, Conditioning, History, Philosophy, Ki Development, Power Breathing, Meditation, and Nutrition. www.USNTA.org
