Manipulation of the 5 elements. Learn the application of the 5 elements for healing and defense. To heal, you must manipulate accu-points along the meridians moving from one to another in a specific order. The healing order of the 5 elements application is wood, fire, earth, metal, water.
To use the points along the meridians for Defensive applications to cause destruction in the body. The destructive order of the 5 elements are wood, earth, water, fire, metal.
Ki-Kau: Power Breathing:
The key elements of effective deep power breathing exercises are holding the breath while tightening the muscles of the abdominal area. The same procedure can also be applied to any other area of the body.
You should do deep breathing exercises before training or competing and for two reasons:
1. To improve mental focus and clarity
2. To release stress by eliminating negative thoughts or feelings
Start by inhaling deeply through your nose until your lungs are completely expanded. Then squeeze your abdominal muscles tightly, without exhaling. Hold for 2-3 seconds. Start with 10-20 reps per day and within about a week you'll be noticing a difference.

Ki Development
Develop Ki by practicing meditation. During meditation you would concentrate on the 7 primary Ki centers.
1. Is located at the bottom of the spine closest to the earth. It controls the adrenal glands and the kidneys. It is represented by the color red.
2. Is located behind the navel and controls the blood and other fluids of the body. It is represented by the color orange.
3. Is located behind the solar plexus and controls the spleen, pancrease, liver, gall bladder and stomach. It is represented by the color gold.
4. Is located by the heart and controls the immune system and heart. It is represented by the color green.
5. Is located in the neck and controls the thyroid, lungs and vocal cords. It is represented by the color blue.
6. Is located in the head just above the eye brows. It controls the pituitary glands and is often called the third eye Ki center. It is represented by the color indigo.
7. Is located in the in the crown of the skull and controls the pineal glands and pituitary glands. It is represented by the color violet.
When the Ki centers are aligned properly you will feel a great balance of energy and well being.
